Army National Guardsman from Columbus goes missing in Cincinnati area

An Army National Guardsman is missing after a Thanksgiving night out with friends at a Cincinnati bar.

Jordan Middlebrooks, 21, was last seen by most of his friends late Thursday night.

He was at a Thanksgiving party at Mixwells, located on Spring Grove Avenue in Cincinnati’s Northside neighborhood.

Friends say he left the bar to crash at a friend's apartment. That friend said Middlebrooks was at his place when he left for work Friday morning.

Security camera footage from outside that apartment building shows Middlebrooks leaving at 10:47 a.m. Friday. It was the last time friends and family have seen a trace of him.

Friends, family search for missing Army National Guardsman

[...]

Middlebrooks' mother, Brandy, spent 10 hours searching for her son over the weekend. She went to where his car is parked at the Taco Bell and charged his phone, hoping he will come back.

His friends Mandy Garvin and Jacob Baker describe Middlebrooks as a “soft-spoken, sweet soul."

IMO--- He doesn't look impaired from the previous evening's Thanksgiving party. He seems well put together. He left close to 11am. I wonder if he met someone at that party and was meeting up for lunch kind of thing. I also can't figure out if he is walking towards where his car was. Does he have a cell on him?

College Hill OH, where he was last seen is a long way from Covington, KY, (Cincinnati area south of the river and state line) where his car and phone were left. It's not something you could walk in the cold. Did he catch a ride? Has family checked with taxi companies or Uber?

Equusearch crews were out searching for Middlebrooks Monday around downtown Cincinnati, Northside and Covington. They're asking anyone who may have security cameras in those areas to review footage from Nov. 23 between the times of 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to see if they can spot him.

still missing: Army National Guardsman vanishes in Ohio after Thanksgiving celebration

Jordan Middlebrooks, 21, vanished on the morning of Nov. 23 after spending the previous evening with friends at a bar in Cincinnati, authorities said.

Friends said Middlebrooks, an active National Guard member, left the celebration to crash at a friend’s apartment in Cincinnati’s College Hill neighborhood. Security camera footage showed him leaving the apartment building on foot late Friday morning, but there’s no indication of where he went.

Middlebrooks left his vehicle and cellphone at a Taco Bell parking lot in Covington, Kentucky, just south of Cincinnati, ahead of the Thanksgiving celebration. “It is believed he was traveling from Hamilton Ave. on foot heading to his car in Covington but never made it to his car.”

His parents are heading to the Ohio area this week to help with the search.

Friends said that his car broke down at Taco Bell on Thanksgiving and he may have been walking back to retrieve it when he was last seen on video surveillance.

Hr spent part of Thanksgiving at a Taco Bell in Covington, and then went to Mixwell’s on Spring Grove Avenue in Northside later on Thanksgiving night. After the bar closed, he went to a friend’s house on Hamilton to sleep.

He stayed there Thanksgiving night, and security footage showed him leaving around 10:47 a.m. on foot., walking south on Hamilton around 11 a.m.

A post he made online indicated that his car had died in the Taco Bell parking lot because he accidentally left the lights on, and he couldn’t afford to get someone to jump it.

Wonder ho w he got from the Taco Bell to the bar? it looks like about 6 miles. Is it normal for Equusearch to get involved this quickly? It was about three days after he was last seen, I believe. Or could there be other reasons for their involvement this quickly?
