“Allegations include harassing a pregnant employee, fostering an inappropriate and unprofessional work environment, using a racial slur within the earshot of a criminal defendant, engaging in lewd and vulgar characterizations of a child-rape case and failing to disqualify himself from a criminal case in which his stepson testified as a law enforcement witness for the State,” the complaint stated.

Ickes admitted most of the conduct to the consultant, but felt that one of the complainants, "spun the allegations around to make him sound like a pervert."

In its conclusion regarding Ickes, Clemans-Nelson wrote that he admitted to and did foster a "culture of unprofessionalism and inappropriate work environment."

  • Referred to a child-rape case as the “baby c- - -sucker case” for the entire eight months that it was on the docket. The defendant was accused of performing oral sex on an 18-month-old child. During the trial, Ickes allegedly texted court employees video clips of a woman eating a banana and of dancing bananas.
