MASSILLON POLICE SEARCHING FOR MISSING 7-MONTH OLD LAST SEEN WITH GRANDMOTHER

The Massillon Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate a missing 7-month old child.

Malachi Ferguson was last seen around 11:00 a.m. Thursday with his grandmother, Angela Ferguson, police say.

Ferguson drives a teal 1993 Ford Taurus with Ohio license plate number HEE7726.

Malachi has blonde hair and blue eyes.

The department posted photos and a short description on its Facebook page.

Police did not say the child seems to be in danger at all and says at this point, the information they have in the investigation does not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert.

Baby found safe, grandmother arrested.

Update: 7-month-old boy in Massillon has been found, grandmother in police custody

MASSILLON, OH (WOIO) - Update: The 7-month-old child who was reported missing Thursday morning has been found safe, according to Massillon police.

Police say the boy and his grandmother Angela Ferguson were found at approximately 4 a.m. Friday sitting on a street curb in the southwest side of the city.

Police did not release any information regarding potential charges against the grandmother, but she is in custody.
