Circumstances of Recovery: On 5/29/2024, members of the University of Dayton Rowing Team observed the decedent in the water and called 911. Moraine EMS responded, and a boat was used to remove the decedent from the river and transport him to the boat ramp. The decedent’s clothing matched the description of a subject that had entered into the river near the Dayton Art Institute on 05/16/2024. That subject was unidentified and believed to be homeless.​
