OH OH - Nascia Goodwin, arrest made but GJ failed to indict, Dayton, 26 Aug 2020

Nascia Goodwin (18) was murdered on August 26, 2020, at approximately 2:22am. She was found in the side yard of the home of Walter W. Rodgers at 926 Gard Avenue. Some articles reported that they were coworkers, others reported that they were romantically involved. Search warrants found Nascia's personal items in his home. Rodgers was on parole for a previous charge and was arrested for her murder. On September 4, 2020, a Grand Jury failed to indict Rodgers for Nascia's murder, and the case was dismissed.

Walter W. Rodgers in 2012 was found guilty of Kidnapping and Aggravated Burglary with a Deadly Weapon. In 2022 he was charged with Improper Handle of a Firearm and Weapons While Under Disability, he was able to have that case dismissed.

I am unsure of why the Grand Jury dismissed the murder charge against Rodgers and Nascia's murder is still unsolved. Does anyone have any details in regard to this case? Why was it dismissed?
