Blasetzky, a Ukrainian national, went missing from Toledo, Ohio on June 5, 2000. He was last seen at approximately 7:00 p.m. at his residence in the 4100 block of Eastway Street. He left in his white 1983 Buick Century with Ohio license plate number NRB-8 and drove northbound on Eastway towards Eleanor Avenue. He never returned and has never been heard from again. There hasn't been any activity on his credit cards and bank accounts since he went missing.
At the time of his disappearance, Blasetzky was suffering from Alzheimer's disease and may have been confused and disoriented. One of his neighbors reported that he got into the car, turned it on, then got out again several times before finally leaving his home. He left his garage door open when he drove away. Both Blasetzky and his vehicle have never been located. Few details are available regarding his case and his whereabouts remain unknown.
