Could the call be from a relative of Monique (young, hispanic accent) who lived with the family for one reason or another? Maybe she was under threat from her husband/boyfriend. This ”my man” wanted revenge on Spencer and Monique for helping the female relative. This would be a good match with the man on the surveillence camera who looks like a young hispanic/caucasian guy. I don’t necessarily belive the guy was in the house when she made the 911-call. Maybe he treatened her and the Tepe’s and she made the call, and then got scared.

Did he remember the whole episode, or parts of it?

They say memories form when kids start speaking in words, but who knows? My first memory dates back to approximately 10 months of age and is real. Lots of early memories are discrete, but I remember things that happened when I was three, with surprisingly many details.

JMO, and it can be different for each kid: children can remember voices, dialects, intonations, what was said, places, items. In general, our auditory memory doesn’t change much. Visually kids view the world from a different perspective. Adults are much taller, so kids’ descriptions of them may not match the reality. JMO, it seems that good memories are retained better than bad ones. Sometimes when kids cry there is almost like an amnestic episode. I didn’t have many traumatic events in my childhood, but take being “scratched by a cat” (between two to three): everything, including the scratch and what followed (allegedly, me yelling and parents tending to the scratch) is one massive timelapse but what led to the cat’s attack I remember perfectly, even his paw. The next memory is the pattern of the bandage. (I asked AI: “ Yes, intense crying, especially during highly emotional or stressful events, can cause memory lapses or interfere with memory encoding in children, acting like an "amnesic agent," making it harder for them to recall those experiences later, though the brain is still developing and forming crucial templates for emotional regulation.”) I never had breath-holding spells or syncope, I think it is own crying and stress that wiped off “the immediate aftermath”.

So this is what I hope for: that if the kids were traumatized and cried, that this part they’ll forget. (Maybe they saw nothing, we don’t even know).

Kohei, the son of Namiko Takaba (we have a thread about her) remembered interesting details as a baby but totally forgot everything as an adult, including his mom. Although his dad did everything to keep the memory of his wife. Maybe the older child will retain certain perception of mom: some big warm shadow hugging him. Or her silhouette against the window. Or the smell. Or the color of her dress.

My personal feeling about it.

He remembers quite a bit from that day. Even a lot of the words spoken. Without getting into too much detail it had nothing to do with him, but a dispute between his dad and I that didn’t get violent but very well could have been if I hadn’t grabbed my kids and locked us in another room while calling a neighbor friend to come help. It was also the “end” of us being a family all under 1 roof.

That is interesting how one crying can relate to lapses of memory. There are also many instances I can remember vividly as early as 2 and it’s like I can close my eyes and see everything around me as they were at those times. Hallways, rooms, items in certain places and even clothes I was wearing. Our brain is one interesting organ in how we store our memories, that’s for sure!

I personally don't think the 911 call has anything to do with the murders, but anything is worthy of a consideration.

MOO is that the voices are very similar... Moreso when Monique starts crying during her vows. Both voices raise to an almost childlike pitch while when emotional. To me the difference is the speech pattern on the 911 call seems less enunciated... Potentially due to impairment of some sort. The 'my man' is distorted... And i felt the caller wanted to say more toward the end. MOO

I know the FBI has analysts who work on video and voice evidence. I wonder if the Columbus LE have asked for their help.

April 15th 2025 was a Tuesday, 2.45am on a Tuesday would mean they had a late night party on a Monday night. Seems unlikely with a newborn and a 3/4 year old

Agree, I can think of several scenarios where Mo and Spencer wouldn’t have been up or actively partying at that time.

Perhaps a houseguest down in the basement had a guest, for example. Are you going to hear a disagreement going on two floors down? I also don’t think that was Monique on the call.

I think something along these lines is a reasonable theory to consider. By all accounts S and M were kind, generous people who made it a point to help family and the community.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a case where a family member was this outspoken with the media before an arrest was made let alone trial….

For all we know Monique and Spencer may have not even been home when the earlier 911 call was made. I'm still of the opinion it was a pet sitter or friend crashing at their place. I don't think that call has any relevance to their murders. All JMO

Nine months prior there was a 911 call from a woman( probably the wife) at the residence but she refused any help saying she was ok. I hadn’t heard that thr was no weapon found until tonight so I guess that rules out murder/suicide theory that was posted earlier by someone. Going to have to b very delicate if the police r allowed to talk to the 4 year old to get any info.

The BIL has clarified that 911 call was not from the wife. Unless it is shown to be otherwise, I will take the family’s word over Fox News.
So I don’t think it’s accurate to state that call was made by the victim unless we have corroboration from an official source like LE.
