Has anyone wondered if his former employer, who apparently had a noncompete with Spencer, had a motive?

This forum needs more fresh ideas and less bickering about 911.

After listening to the 911 calls numerous times I get the feeling that he told his coworkers/boss if I ever don’t show up or respond to notify authorities. I think they let someone stay with them in their home that they were helping. There was some danger surrounding this which is why the coworker said we can’t reach anybody “in that home”. Maybe this has to do with the previous unknown female who made the 911 call in April… IMO

If there was someone staying with them that is unaccounted for, the police would be telling us about it in order to find the person.

I think they would have needed to reschedule the patients for that morning at least, given he was unreachable and lived over an hour away. Tell them dentist got a family emergency suddenly or something. So if they did that, the issue of a long line of patients waiting goes away. Given that, did the office overreact with the multiple 911 calls and the multiple people showing up at the house in addition to LE? IMO, yes. It seems they were more concerned about his wellbeing than waiting patients. JMO.

I haven’t mentioned the call from the Dentist boss, but I imagine it like this:
He is on vacation.
Workers are contacting him to say ST has not turned up work, keep in mind that he probably turns up hours behind his actual patients for prep, paperwork…this is unusual since he is punctual.
As time goes on and patients start arriving, they sound a lot more stressed and concerned (maybe they’re dramatic too) to the boss with their updates since they now have patients waiting.
Due to it being holiday period, he tells dispatch that they cannot get in contact with MT or “anyone in the house” - keep on mind that I know my coworkers have kids but no idea how old they are and he may have thought the oldest could answer the phone (or knew/presumed someone was staying over for the holidays).
He’s on holiday, hearing his staff get stressed, ST lives a while away from the practice.
I think the concern from staff or him may be a car accident? Or a medical emergency.
Which is why he called to let police know. You actually hear him ask if there have been any traffic accidents reported.

What I find weird is the people who turned up to the house so soon and gained access when the police were already involved. Were any family members with them or was it coworkers/ friends?

The third 911 call came from a female coworker who was still in route to the house around 10:04, and the fourth 911 call came from a male friend (not sure it is the same person as the second 911) in the house a few minutes later. There were three males in the house when officer 42 (or 41, I forget) came in the house around 10:20. The back door was open for the officer. Two males were friends, one was a coworker (actually, the husband of a coworker). Not sure when the female coworker arrived.

1st caller calls 911, doesnt get any follow up and given that everyone is an hour away . Someone from the office COULD HAVE called someone they know who lived in the area to go check first rather than drive themselves .

Maybe she couldn't reach the person that was sent to check b/c they were on the phone with 911. So she starts to go herself

We can debate all day long what is sus or not but why? All thats doing is casting suspicion on people who likely are totally innocent.

Sort of like how we got the wrong address info that made sense of why the police never saw the bodies.

Same here! I love dogs, I am a dog owner... but the obsession people have with dogs in these kinds of cases is hilarious. The dog is an ANIMAL. Said animal is not a reliable witness who was supposed to act in a certain way

No one said the dog was a reliable witness, good grief. But it is true, in fact, that MOST dogs bark at intruders and if you’re living in a sketchy area with children and your dog starts barking in the middle of the night MOST people would probably get up and have a look. I actually live in the same city, safer area, and my dog sleeps downstairs for this very reason. To alert me if someone starts rattling doorknobs or fiddling with windows.

All we have to go on is assumptions and theories and what if’s at this point, not sure why you’re so keen on shutting down a simple observation but you do you.

Seems like multiple tips are coming in and there's "tons and tons" of evidence. Hopefully, there's an arrest soon.

There are also numerous cameras and cell phone tracking, so I'm sure LE has a lot to go through. Similar to the Brown University shooting except they had help going through all the info from the FBI. I'm not sure that is the case here.

Upon learning that the door to the bedroom was locked, it seems like the killer deliberately locked the door to keep the children from finding their parents in the morning. This fact alone makes me believe it was someone that knew the parents and the children. I also wouldn't be surprised if the killer did something that morning to try to ensure they would be found quickly.

Exactly! They probably had $30k+ worth of services booked for that day and were unable to do anything unless he was onsite as the billable provider. It’s a freaking crisis when the whole office can’t work and you have patients all over the place.
