Steven A. Baker, 49, was last seen on Jan. 3 in the 2900 block of Wilbraham Road, according to police. He was reported missing by his girlfriend on Jan. 18, and she said she has not heard from him in several weeks.
The girlfriend said she had been told about some suspicious text messages alleging Baker was dead in a vacant house on Wilbraham or Tytus Avenue. Police searched several locations, including a vacant garage on Wilbraham where it appeared someone had been staying. Another report was that Baker may have stolen a car, but that vehicle was located.
Baker had been living at Hope House and cut off his ankle monitor he was wearing through Warren County.
