Local 12 learned that police watched 70 hours of video surveillance from a nearby Kroger store. It shows Mills leaving his apartment at 10:20 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5.

He appeared to be holding things and it was not unusual for him to take items to the dumpster in his parking lot.

Police say search and rescue teams spent considerable time last week searching the landfill but did not find Mills.

Volunteers and law enforcement have also combed the nearby woods and ponds -- and are still searching there.

I thought he was last seen leaving with family on Tuesday in the am? Poor guy where can he be?

MOO I wish there was at least one more very thorough search of the landfill. I don't know about different search technologies for landfills, but my imagination won't let go of something happening at the dumpster and him ending up at the landfill. Please let them find you Tommy, wherever you are.

Volunteers and law enforcement have conducted several searches.

Another one is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 31. It starts at Access Church (1300 Ohio Pike) at 9:30 a.m.

The search is open to the public. Officials say it is expected to rain and to dress appropriately.

I can't believe he's been missing this long. I thought sure this was some sort of unfortunate accident and he'd be found close to home.

If he isn't a regular walker or owns a bike he wouldn't have gotten far, at most a mile, maybe two. He is not comfortable crossing busy streets so he would have stayed on the same side as his apartment.
To the east on 125 is the village of Amelia, with businesses and homes. To the west on 125 are businesses and streets leading to neighborhoods. The area within a mile radius of his apartment at Amelia Court Apartments has been extensively searched by LE and volunteers and SAR, including ponds, empty buildings, sheds, the woods, etc. He is not comfortable crossing busy streets so he would have stayed on the same side as his apartment. All I can think is that someone enticed him into their vehicle - but who would kidnap an elderly autistic man?

I suppose the police may have other leads if they did see him on CCTV from a store. If they didn't see him though I think ,sadly, Tommy's disappearance will never be solved. If he isn't found in the area he always sticks to then foul play is the obvious answer. Somebody may have thrown him in their car to rob him in a more isolated setting. I do wonder if police checked his phone for messages and who his contacts were in it. Also I wonder if his door was locked or not and whether his keys and wallet were inside or with him. Someone may have thought an autistic person was an easier target, may have been hoping to get a few bucks from him. Wandering away is not as likely as maybe a criminal act.

When I saw that human remains were found in Clermont County on Saturday, I immediately thought about Tommy. The remains were found near Beckelhymer Rd in Washington Township, which is 12.5 miles from where Tommy went missing on Amelia Court in Pierce Township. They found a skull, a few more bones, a boot, a black shirt or sweatshirt and a belt. An incident report indicates that a person went missing in the area, but the name is blacked out pending identification. 12.5 miles might be too far for it to be Tommy, but I wonder if it is a possibility.

The remains found in Clermont County have been identified, and were not Tommy. They were identified as Roger Shane Bruce, who was missing from Felicity, OH in 2022.
