A huge WTH?

I predict that we find out that this idiot accused his girlfriend of sleeping with his brother, and being a violent jerk, he reacted by killing the children too.

While we may never understand what leads anybody to take the lives of innocent individuals, especially those of children, we must be reminded that life is very fragile, our time here is limited and precious,” the proclamation states.

Coleman said he is reaching out to multiple leaders in the local faith community to come up with the best ways for the community to mourn, grieve, and express their feelings in a healthy way.

“To walk in there and see those young lives cut short that will never be able to live up to their full potential isn’t easy on anyone,” Coleman said.

Those precious little babies...

There is real evil in this world. "Not cooperating with the authorities", of course. Oklahoma at least has the death penalty. He'll have his date with the needle, you can bet on it.

Man charged with murdering his brother and five children in Muskogee

"Court records show Pridgeon received a deferred sentence in 2019 after being charged with two felony counts for allegedly throwing two large pieces of cement at a woman, striking her in the torso. A judge in that case ordered a mental health observation and evaluation, but those results are sealed. Pridgeon's attorney in that case, Brian Watts, didn't immediately return a message seeking comment."

Raven Anderson, the children's aunt and Brittany's sister, said she is heartbroken and can't believe someone could do something so heinous to children as young as just one year old.

“He is not a person, he is a monster. And on top of being a monster he is a coward for doing what he did," Raven said.

Raven said the suspect, Jarron Pridgeon is the father of three of the five kids he is accused of killing and the brother of the 24-year-old who died at the home.

“I don’t know what kind of person would do that, let alone a person who could take the lives of their own kids," Raven said.

“I’m thinking about my nieces and my nephew. Just sad. They were too young, too innocent for something like this," Raven said.

Raven said each kid had a bright future taken from them far too soon.

“They were great kids, they were smart, full of happiness, energy. They were, they just loved life," Raven said. “Honestly it would just be great if everyone just continued to pray."

Relatives said that an anonymous donor has offered the pay for the cost of the funeral expenses.

Man bound over for trial in killings of five children and defendant's brother in Muskogee

District Judge Bret Smith on Wednesday accelerated Pridgeon’s three-year deferred sentence in that case to a 10-year prison sentence, which Loge said was the maximum for the charge. Pridgeon had received the deferral following the completion of a mental health evaluation, records show.

Smith ordered him to return to court Sept. 2 for trial court arraignment.

Pleading not guilty by reason of insanity; trial scheduled to begin May 2024 (it's now June)
A Muskogee man charged in the deaths of six people is seeking to change his plea to not guilty by reason of insanity.

Jarron Deajon Pridgeon, 28, is charged in the Feb. 2, 2021 deaths of five children ages 2-9 and his brother Javarion Lee, 24. Pridgeon pleaded not guilty in September 2021 to six counts of first-degree murder.

Pridgeon's attorney Gretchen Mosley filed a motion April 27 requesting the plea change. Mosley said in the motion Pridgeon was evaluated by forensic psychiatrist Dr. Shawn Agharkar.

ETA: Trial continued to Oct. 15, 2024
