''On Saturday March 2, 2013 Lacrecia Bledsoe came back to her North Tulsa residence to find a horrifying scene- her daughter Gabrielle was laying lifeless on the floor.

Gabrielle Monique Bledsoe, Gabby to those close to her, was only 18 years old when she was murdered. She was a junior in high school with a bubbly disposition and high aspirations. She dreamed of becoming a lawyer, and with a 3.8 GPA- she probably would have seen those dreams come true. Those dreams were cut short that morning. She was found stabbed to death, the kitchen knife still in the back of her neck when her mother found her.

While police have collected evidence (his clothing, DNA, and fingerprints) from an un-named person of interest, nothing has tied any one person to the murder. According to police there weren’t any signs of a struggle. Lacrecia says that it looked like someone came in through the kitchen door, and notes that the front door was unlocked- which was unusual.''

'TULSA, Okla. — No parent should ever have to bury their child, but the family of Gabby Bledsoe had to do just that.

On March 2, 2013, she was stabbed to death in her own home.

To this day, there have been no arrests in this case.

2 News is breaking down the facts to shine a new light on a cold case that has remained dormant for a decade.

Teresa Releford-Hall says she will never forget a phone call in 2013 that changed her life forever.

"March the second, I got a call saying that I need to come to Gabby's house from Atlanta. Something terrible has happened and they didn't know if it was her or her mother," Releford-Hall said.

When she finally made it to the house, she discovered the body lying inside, her beautiful granddaughter Gabby Bledsoe''.

.......
''Her family says Gabby was a straight A student here at Rogers High School and even played basketball. She was kind to everyone and was hoping to become a doctor one day.

Gabby's brutal death has stayed with Tulsa Police Homicide Detective Jason White for more than a decade.

"This is one of a few of my own personal cases that absolutely sticks with me," White said. "We did recover certain items at the scene and I can tell you there was no signs of forced entry so in my opinion Gabriel knew or at least felt comfortable enough to open the door for somebody in the early AM hours."

With familial DNA and all that they can do forensically now, I hope this preparator is seeing his last few days of freedom, and I hope he knows it!

Perhaps a "bad uncle" type relative or a "friend of a friend" from the high school.

In either case, the victim recognizes the assailant- and though is perhaps not thrilled to see them, does not feel threatened. She then opens the door. A sexual advance is made. When she rebuffs it, the assailant kills her in a rage?

In either case, the high school friend of a friend possibility might be relatively rand down by:

- Male, 11th or 12 grade with Gabby.
- No current criminal record.
- No military enlistments.
- No employment where prints would have been required by the employer.

'She said she believes Gabby heard a noise in the night, grabbed a knife from the kitchen, and was trying to go out the front door when the intruder grabbed the knife and used it on Gabby to stop her'.

''Police say they are waiting on forensic testing from the lab to help them either zero in on a suspect or rule him out in the murder of 18-year-old Gabby Bledsoe.''

''Lacrecia believes it's someone she used to date - who she's been having trouble with - someone who broke in without realizing anyone was home, and then things went terribly wrong.
Police collected that man's clothing and his car and are getting warrants for fingerprints and DNA.
"[We're] still looking at him to clear him or focus on him. Don't know which way that will go," said Sgt. Dave Walker.''

''Police say Gabby was tweeting around midnight Friday night, and her mom says she had missed calls from Gabby's phone from 3:43 to 3:59 a.m''.

I hope an arrest is coming soon. Seeing her name, made me think of Gabbie Swainson.

She was 18 when she was killed, but the POI is 32. But he is her ex? So was possibly dating her before she even turned 18. Or is the 32 yr old man not the one they mentioned that she used to see?

The victim was found by her mother at 1824 N. Atlanta Avenue. The victim died as a result of multiple stab wounds.

''Bledsoe thinks she knows who killed her daughter and she fears that person will kill again. Police have questioned several people, and so far no arrests have been made.

Detectives are awaiting results from the crime lab as to whether there is DNA on the suspected murder weapon.''

I see, ty. I guess the 32 yr old POI was the victim's mother's ex bf, sounds better. Wonder how he fared in his police interviews.

ETA I only just now realize this murder was in 2013! Sorry! Must have come up in Related Threads. Although I suppose it can never hurt to revive a dead thread from a case that's gone cold.
