Authorities conducted a massive search at Lake Overholser Tuesday morning to look for a teen who's been missing since the 4th of July. Investigators believe she is the victim of a homicide.

Haylie Gonzalez has been missing for almost a month.

Police searched the Lake Overholser area for over 5 hours.

Officers began their search around 6 a.m., scanning as much of the area as they could. Detectives said this is just one of several spots they've been looking since Gonzalez went missing.

"Anytime we get into a case this complex, and we have such a large area of evidence that we're searching for, we have emergency response teams and other officers that are actually pulled from different divisions," said Dillon Quirk, with the Oklahoma City Police Department.

The 17-year-old was last seen at a party on July 4. Police reports said that night she was partying with friends at Eduardo Bonilla-Lopez's home. Investigators said she reached out to a friend asking for a ride and sounded scared. When her friend arrived, Gonzalez was nowhere to be found.

Records show Bonilla-Lopez FaceTimed a friend that night, allegedly asking for help dumping a body while Gonzalez was dying from a gunshot wound.

The next week, he was arrested on a murder complaint.

"Well, right now, I feel sad and depressed. Very," Gonzalez's mother, Yvonne Turner, said. "I miss my daughter. I'm just wanting to find her."

Investigators said Gonzalez contacted someone and sounded scared, asking for a ride home. Other witnesses told police they saw Eduardo Bonilla-Lopez shoot someone at the party and were asked for help dumping the body.

That witness also claimed Bonilla-Lopez showed them a woman's bleeding body.

Even though Gonzalez hasn't been found, Bonilla-Lopez was charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping.

"Those witnesses that were there and interacted with her, her so-called friends that are here in Oklahoma, we need them to step up and speak up about what they saw, what they heard," Gonzalez's father, Greg Turner, said.

On Monday morning, Oklahoma City police were called to an apartment complex near N.W. 12th and Rockwell, where they say a body was found.

It’s been exhausting, just really hard for me and for the other ladies that have been helping me out,” said Hailey’s friend, Adriana Mendoza.

For weeks, Mendoza has been leading the search for her missing friend.

“She means a lot, like a daughter. She would call me mom,” said Mendoza.

According to court documents, Gonzalez went to a party on July 4th, just a mile away from Monday’s scene.

Reports show it was the home of Eduardo Bonilla-Lopez.

The family knows, of course -- little comfort for them, but the anxiety and cruelty of not-knowing is past. Now it is time for family closeness and planning and mourning. We see so much of this, dammit.

At least we have an arrest of the probable guilty person.

Two others, 41-year-old Vidal Bonilla and 23-year-old Lilian Bonilla, are accused of accessory to murder.

Police said they obtained information in early August that led investigators to the 6800 block of Northwest 13th Street. Remains were found at this location and confirmed to belong to Gonzalez, police officials announced on Tuesday.
