ATTENTION::

We are currently working a missing child in the area of 500 North 27th West Ave in Tulsa. The child’s name is Jeffrey and he is 8 years old. He was last seen in the area around 3:30pm today. He was said to be wearing a yellow Pokémon shirt, gray shorts with a black stripe and may not have shoes on. If you live anywhere close to the area will you please check your yard. If the child is found please call 911.

The department said on its Facebook page that it was using a helicopter to search for the child.

The child has been found and reunited with his parents. Thank you all so much for sharing the post.

The child was found and is in good health. We are still working on the details, but he managed to get from where he was to this approximate area.

Since he's 8 we are trying to delicately figure out how he got from one place to another.

When we find out, we will add it.

Missing 8-year-old boy found safe in Tulsa | Tulsa's 24-Hour News, Weather and Traffic

Tulsa police at the scene tell us the child was found by an officer and another person about 3 1/2 hours later. He was said to be behind a dumpster a few miles away from where he was last seen.

He apparently wandered off while playing. The boy doesn't know the area very well.
