OK - K9 Kye buried with full honors, officer investigated for shooting suspect

Three year old k9 Kye was buried with full honors Thursday in Oklahoma, after being stabbed to death while pursuing a burglary suspect.

'During a funeral service, Kye’s human partner, Sgt. Ryan Stark, leaned over the 3-year-old dog’s flag-draped casket to give his four-legged friend a final pat.'

Sgt. Stark shot the suspect dead as he saw his dog being killed. He's now under investigation.

I really didn't want to cry this morning. I hope this is just the usual investigation that's done when an officer fires his gun, shooting a suspect. I would have done the same thing. This dog was his partner, his friend and an officer of the law.
