Sheriff Nimrod Johnson Miller, age 37
Murdered 1 September 1881 in Oklahoma. Body not recovered.

In 2015, a historical novel was written about the life of Nimrod Miller The Mighty Hunter, by his descendant, William Perrin. Available at Amazon and other bookstores.
Mr. Perrin came to Burnet in April 2016 to promote his book, giving a presentation to
history and genealogy lovers at the library.
