Peggy Gaytan was shot and killed while working at a Shell gas station at 36th and Harvard...

Peggy was a couple of weeks away from getting a different job, but on December 22nd, two men walked inside the gas station, put a gun to her head and murdered her...

They said it's the same men who robbed Tulsa's Ryan's convenience store just a few days earlier.

They have some suspects in mind, but are no closer to making an arrest.

Police don't believe Peggy ever saw them.

"She was doing some inventory behind the counter," said Jill Roberson, with the Tulsa Police Department. "She didn't even look up."

2NEWS obtained exclusive video of what happened inside the store. It shows one of the men walk in, fire two shots at Peggy and walk right back out.

''Those with knowledge about Peggy Gaytan's 2011 death kept quiet for years.

Gunned down at a midtown gas station, the clerk's killing three days before Christmas was a classic "whodunit," police said. The two robbers, masked and gloved, were caught only on surveillance footage. ''

“As the years go on, people start to talk," Franklin said. "Little tidbits of information spill out, and our detectives take that information and piece it all together.”

Franklin called the press conference to commend the department's Homicide Unit for sticking with and making an arrest in the case. Detectives say Patrick Alan Hamstard, 27, is the man who pulled the trigger, and he was arrested without incident Monday.''

''The affidavit identifies the second suspect as Chauncey Thomas, who was killed in a home invasion last year. Thomas did not enter Gaytan's store that night, but he fled after the shooting.''

This is unfortunate. I hope they can find more evidence to get this evil back behind bars (if he did it...why would he tell people he did if he’s innocent jmo). I’m in Tulsa weekly and really prefer not to share the town with a killer. Hoping for justice for Peggy and her family.
