Ponca City Police are searching for 26-year-old Sylvia Gomez who was last seen on July 7 at an address on U Street, which is outside of the city limits in Kay County.

Ponca City Police are searching for 26-year-old Sylvia Gomez who was last seen on July 7 at an address on U Street, which is outside of the city limits in Kay County.

She is 5'5, around 120 pounds, has a tattoo across her chest that says "Creek", a tattoo down the back of her leg that says "Gomez", has black hair and brown eyes, according to NOISE.

KAY COUNTY, OK (KOKH) — The Kay County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO),the State of Oklahoma's Medical Examiner’s Office, the Ponca City Police Department (PCPD), and the BIA are working on a case involving a body being found on August 1.

In 2018 she filed an Emergency Order of Protection in Kay Co. OK against someone (not named here as not a POI but if there is a current warrant out for his arrest on charges unknown). The order of protection was returned as "not served". Court records show her full name and address in Ponca City in the billing statement pdf attached to the record on 7-17 of that year. Looks like she was behind on those payments (not large, the total bill was less than $200). There is language about a warrant intercept to the tax commission in July of 2023 (I'm guessing to garnish her tax refund for any amount still owed), but the current status of the case is unknown. Authorities did clarify that there has not been any confirmed positive identification on the person who was found dead by an agency.

The Kay County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) has provided an update on the missing body that was found in the Ranch Drive area.

According to KCSO, the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased person as 26-year-old Sylvia Gomez.
