New additional to Canada's version of NamUs. Some new, strange details.
Kyle Hancock was last seen in St. Thomas, Ontario, on August 2, 2023 (note- other sites say August 1). Kyle's phone hasn't been connected to any network since he was last observed, and his bank account hasn't been accessed. Ears: pierced. Tattoo: Right Upper Arm, "Dodge" with logo.
(i think the photos attached to his case depict the e-bike that was later found)

[The farmer] explained, “The third width of the combine in, came across an e-bike that was standing in the cornrows. We just wheeled it to the edge of the field and stood it up against some bricks that were there and next thing I know there were police here looking at it and they've turned this field into an investigation.”
Walters added the bike had a flat back tire, and the wires to the battery were hanging down.
Hancock’s sister Amanda said, “It does look like the bike has been there for a long time however which was concerning."
“I can say foul play is not suspected at this point,” said Sandham.

-the farmer's quote is kind of strange...is he implying the police showed up without having been called?? What was the tip that led them there?
-flat tire, battery disrupted; it sort of sounds like someone was trying to make the bike unrideable, both as an electric or as a pushbike. I don't see why Kyle would start messing with his battery if he got a flat.
-st. thomas has lots of green areas and trails to ride on...no reason why someone would chose to ride in a cornfield. i believe it was likely placed there to hide it.

His poor family. It does seem like someone was trying to hide the bike.

Pure speculation: Was he robbed of his bike? I hope he wasn't harmed, but then where is he? If someone stole his bike, did they possibly think the battery contained a tracking device they were trying to disable?

that's exactly what it seems like
and now that other items have been found discarded, it seems to me he has come to harm and the people responsible were dumping his personal items - I hope I'm wrong

Why would someone go to the trouble of robbing him of his bike only to leave the bike in a cornfield?

Probably robbery was not the objective. They may have ditched the bike in order to hide any clues that might lead back to themselves. It may have marked the place where he was abducted, or it might have their fingerprints on it, or they might have just wanted to get all his things out of their vehicle as fast as possible.

Hiding a bike in a corn field is pretty childish. Out of sight means it's gone, right? Never mind what it might do if it gets caught in a hugely expensive piece of farm machinery.
