Shipping Label on 'Taped Closed' Box of Abandoned Puppies Left at Bus Stop Leads Police to Suspect
A man in Springfield, Oregon, faces six charges of animal abandonment after allegedly abandoning a box of six puppies by a bus stop. He had previously threatened to 'dispose of them' after a humane society wouldn't take the puppies and was identified because he left a shipping label on the box.
The box “had been taped completely closed,” police said. So, the six pups had no ventilation and no “food, water, or attempt to keep the puppies warm.”
