A potentially dangerous state psychiatric patient who walked away from his treatment facility on Monday morning was seen in the Portland area Tuesday afternoon, the Oregon Psychiatric Security Review Board said.

Brian Campbell is on conditional release, according to the board, which also says it considers him dangerous.

Authorities say he has several family members across the Portland area and has tried to contact at least one of them.

Witnesses reported seeing him in the downtown area about 1 p.m. and around Southeast 112th and Burnside at about 2:30 p.m.

Campbell has tattoos on his arms, shoulder and chest. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black leather jacket but not his glasses.

He’s described as about 5-foot 9-inches tall, weighing 190 pounds, with shoulder-length brown hair, hazel eyes, and a salt-and-pepper style “VanDyke” style beard.

The Psychiatric Security Review Board considers him to be dangerous. If you've seen him, call police right away.
