Circumstances of Disappearance
Brooke was last seen at his father's home in Portland, OR sometime on the afternoon of August 26, 2019. He left his wallet, cell phone, keys, ID, credit cards and car behind. Family says they are unsure why he left and that this behavior is unusual for him.

@Gardener1850 your post makes much sense as to why his online footprint is almost nonexistent. He may already have a new life underway or had a self harm plan. I'm curious if he had a place of his own at the time of disappearance.

Portland police searching for missing man on his birthday

Sep 27, 2019

Brooke Lindberg, 38, was last seen outside his father’s home on the 1400 block of Northwest Lovejoy Street at 2 p.m. Aug. 26.

At that time, he was walking away westbound and left behind his wallet, keys, cell phone and car. He has not communicated with his family since that time.

This is a really urban location. If he walked away from there, I can't imagine that he wasn't seen walking on cameras from neighbors or nearby businesses. Unfortunately if he was thinking self-harm OR harmed by someone while taking a walk, it is only a few blocks to the Willamette River. It also looks like there are several bus stops or rail stations nearby. Seems like it would be fairly easy for him to get out of the area on public transportation if he took a little cash with him. However, it doesn't make sense to me that he would leave his car behind if he wanted to start a new life-- a car would be a faster way to get far away. I'm leaning towards either self harm or harmed by someone close to the location he disappeared. MOO.

Family members say it is unusual for him to be out of contact for this long, especially since Friday (Sept. 27) is his birthday.

I saw the Stake Exchange but it didn't have any personal data, I was thinking it just collected his data because he logged in one time. Good thought though about his erasing his online history.

Edit: All I found was a Portland PD posting saying he may have had on a black backpack with white trim.

He could have, but I’m one of those people with absolutely no social media or online footprint, and I’m not planning on running away
(Let’s hope nothing happens to me now I’ve said that!)

He is reported missing almost 2 weeks after he left his father's home leaving his phone, ID, credit cards and wallet behind. The Portland Police Bureau stated his family has declined any media interviews. Request for Information About Portland Man Missing From Pearl District (Photo) Sorry, but if my adult child was missing I'd be talking to anyone I could. There's more to his disappearance than is being said, I'm afraid.
