These wide age estimates are really inconvenient for ID purposes, I feel like. I can understand it being difficult to tell the age of a skeleton though. Does he have anyone ruled out? The PMI says “years” yet his YOD is roughly 1979. Maybe it meant about 1-2 years? Try looking for people born between 1899-1939 who went missing in 1978-1979. Bumping for our guy. Hopefully he gets his name back soon. Although I think it will be difficult as he was already long dead when found, and DNA deteriorates over time. I’m not losing hope.

That’s interesting! He doesn’t have a photo on Doe Network. So no reconstruction to go off of? I know only parts of him were found? Did they find his skull? Probably not.

Pretty sure this isnt the same person but the timing is so close. I can't find a thread for the John Doe in this article. He has been identified though. Maybe yall will have better luck? Delete if necessary.
Our John Doe in the thread remains unidentified, correct? I wonder if these two are connected in some way.
