Gary Jay Baechler was found dead inside a home on the 6900 block of SE 110th Avenue in the Lents neighborhood. Hed been shot multiple times, Portland police said.

His death left behind a 13-year-old daughter, two brothers, his parents, a grandmother and more family, she said.
Baechler said she couldn't think of anyone who had been aggressive toward her brother, who lived alone at his home. He was self-employed and ran a pest control business with a partner, she said.
The Marine Corps veteran served in the first Gulf War, his sister said. He was a tough guy with a heart of gold who loved motorcycles, she said.

The death of Gary Jay Baechler remains unsolved. He was found February 28, 2016, inside a residence in the 6900 block of Southeast 110th Avenue. The Oregon State Medical Examiners Office reports that Baechler died of multiple gunshot wounds. A motive to the shooting has not been publicly released.
