Jacob Bell is 9 years old and has autism. He lives with his grandfather, Joe Bell, in Beaverton. The sheriff's office confirmed the grandfather has full guardianship over the child.
According to family, the boy's mother and grandmother came to pick the boy up to visit ahead of Mother's Day. The grandfather reports he got a text from the mother shortly after she picked up the boy that reads: "You'll never see him again."
Initial reports indicated the mother, Arlea Bell, may be taking the child to Arkansas in a white Toyota Corolla.
The grandfather told KATU News he keeps a GPS tracker in the boy's clothes in case he gets lost...but deputies...found the young boy's clothes and the GPS tracker in a dumpster outside a nearby restaurant.
