Family members of 73-year-old Laurene McGilvra, who disappeared in May of 2002, say human remains found west of St. Helens belongs to the missing woman.

Records showed that McGilvra sold Dent the home in 2000 and still held the mortgage at the time of her disappearance. Neighbors said the two were involved in a long-running dispute over the property.

When McGilvra disappeared, police searched Dent's home, barn and several outbuildings, but came up with nothing. They also briefly took Dent into custody to get a DNA sample.

Shortly after that search, the home mysteriously burned down and police later took Dent into custody, charging him with arson.

Convicted killer Barry Dent will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Dent was found guilty last year of murdering his landlord, 73-year-old Laurene McGilvra, who was first reported missing in May of 2002.
