Found Deceased OR-Michael S. Griffin, Harney County, 11/28/24

Michael S. Griffin of John Day, OR has been missing since 11/28/24. He was supposed to return to John Day for Thanksgiving but never arrived. His car was found on an access road in Warm Springs, OR, after local rancher reported that it had been there with a dog inside for a couple of days. Michael's backpack and dog were in the car with the window broken out. The dog is safe and is being cared for.

Search and rescue efforts have been ongoing since 11/28, with K9s tracking Michael for approximately six miles.

The fact he left his dog behind does not sound reassuring.

Searchers have been hampered with poor weather conditions, including muddy roads, and dense fog causing low visibility.

The photo looks younger than 48 (but at my age, eveyone looks young). I did find a Michael Griffin in John Day age 48.

Lists a previous address in Canyon City, OR and there is a misdemeanor arrest record for that name and age but no photo so could be an individual with the same name and age so I won't link.
