I wonder why Milwaukie is the investigating team if he was last seen getting on the train in Portland?

Milwaukie practically is Portland, and his family or whoever filed the missing report probably did it in Milwaukie. And everyone in the Portland area will see the report. Living in Milwaukie is basically living in Portland with a different zip code.

I wonder if they have video of him boarding the train, and if they're alerting people in Klamath Falls too.

How do you disappear while on a train? Jump?

OT - That makes me think twice if I ever have to report someone missing and have a choice such as above. Who do I want in charge of the investigation.
Thanks again, bluesneakers for that bit of info.
I wanted to add after living most of our marriage on military installations our go to would have always been with our base LE.

Back on topic- i wonder how many stops the train made from departing Portland to Klamath Falls?

It’s unclear to investigators whether Kentta stayed on the train at Klamath Falls and continued on or if he got off earlier.BBM

Police said Kentta is considered endangered, as he suffers from mental health issues and has a limited amount of medication with him.

I checked the Amtrack site but I can't find a train that leaves at 4:30am.

Depart Sat 2:25 pm Arrive Sat 9:50 pm Direct Duration 7 hr, 25 min Coast Starlight

Four stops between Portland and Klamath Falls.

Odd. I wonder if he waited until the 2:25p.m.? Did he get on the wrong train? Did he leave Portland at 2:25 and then left from another stop at 4:30a.m? Are there other trains besides Amtrak?

ETA - I will try to look and understand train schedules later in the day.

Deleted. Many typo's in the msm post and after rereading what has been posted there is no new info.

I do wonder if Amtrak has any trains that leave Portland at 4:30 a.m. and where to?

Great news!

It is unclear if Kentta got off the train before it left or stayed on the train at Klamath Falls and continued on.

So he could have been on the train for days?

I had thought he got off early but your thoughts that he remained on could have been what happened?
It still doesn't explain how he left at 730a.m. since no trains leave at that time. Bus?

Glad he is safe.

I'm just not sure what they mean by "It is unclear if Kentta got off the train before it left or stayed on the train at Klamath Falls and continued on." Continued on, as in went wherever the train went? Salem is between Portland and Klamath Falls.

As far as I know Union Station is trains only and the Greyhound bus station is blocks away. I think he must have gotten off the train in Salem and stayed there.

We will probably never know.

Probably not, but I'm glad we know he's okay now.
