Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing 19-year-old woman who was visiting Portland over the weekend.
Authorities said Sophia McCarthy was last seen riding a bicycle near Southeast Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard near Division Street at about 11 a.m. on Saturday (June 1).
According to officials, she does not have a cell phone.
Investigators believe she borrowed a phone and left a voicemail with a family member at 6:45 p.m. saying she was lost and needed to be picked up at the Rite Aid at 2240 SE Cesar E Chavez Boulevard. By the time family arrived, she was gone.
She’s described as about 6 feet tall, weighing 160 pounds. She was last seen wearing a gray hoodie over a white t-shirt, red baggy pants, and black Vans shoes.
She was riding a blue Schwinn bike with a large white seat and a basket.
