Jackson was last seen in the northeast section of Portland, Oregon on April 22, 1992. She may have entered a pickup truck in the vicinity prior to her disappearance. Jackson has never been heard from again.

Tanya is 5'4" tall and 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing an army jacket and black stonewashed jeans. She was four to five months pregnant when she disappeared.

Was she a suspected victim of serial killer Dayton Leroy Rogers? I know he was suspected of killing a woman close to a friend of his house while he was visiting.

Rogers was arrested on August 7, 1987 on murder charges for Jennifer Lisa Smith and has never been out of custody since. He received a Life with the Possibility of Parole sentence in her death. He was also tried and convicted of 6 other murders (The Molalla Forest Murders) and received the death penalty. He was not charged on an additional murder due to the victim not being identified. That victim has since been identified as Tonya Johnson. Rogers is currently incarcerated on death row at the Oregon State Penitentiary in Salem, OR.

If she was able to give birth, the child would be around 25 years old.

The questions to ask here:

Who last saw her?
Who reported her missing?
What was her relationship with her baby's father?

Unless she ran away or something, a pregnant woman body should be something noticeable.

Exactly 30 years ago today, a Portland woman vanished without a trace. Now, her family is coming together to remember her and continue the search for answers.

<<“Tanya left to go to the store which was on Killingsworth right there. She just vanished and never came back,” said Danielle Raines, Anderson-Jackson’s sister. “Back in the day, a lot of people didn’t like to come out and say what happened if they had seen something.”

Family says the only lead was a white van parked by the store that she was seen getting into. There hasn’t been any word or clues since.

“One thing she always did was make sure she came home to her son,” said Raines. “When she came up missing on this day, 30 years ago, his birthday is on May 26th so when she didn’t show up, we knew something was wrong.”

Her son, Elijah, was just 9 years old at the time. While he now has kids of his own, including a daughter named Tanya, the endless questions and lack of closure make it hard to heal.

“What happened?” asked Jackson. “I know it’s not like her to just disappear and leave me, leave her family.”
