PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A body was found floating in the Willamette River Tuesday night along the Eastbank Esplanade, authorities said.
According to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, just after 7:30 p.m., a passerby reported seeing the body floating just south of the Burnside Bridge. Portland Fire and boats from the sheriff’s office responded to the scene and said that around 8:15 they pulled the body from the river taking it to Cathedral Park to meet the medical examiner.
The death is still under investigation and information is limited at this time.
