The deceased has multiple linear scars on his anterior left forearm. He has a faded tattoo on his left posterior shoulder. It is described as a character of some sort.

Circumstances of recovery: The deceased was found under an underpass of 103rd Street and US Highway 69.
Per an OPPD Officer: Made contact with a man thought to be the deceased in March. He claimed his name was Alberto Gomez and that he was originally from Kansas City but recently moved to Overland Park because he was getting robbed at homeless camps/shelters.

David Flores was last seen on September 9, 2019 in Long Beach, CA. At the time, he was homeless but "normally checked in with family regularly which stopped." Then, on April 10, 2023, an unidentified homeless man was found decease in Overland Park, KS who had previously reported his name as "Alberto Gomez," and "claimed to be from Kansas City, Kansas."

David's physical description matches the unidentified with a couple exceptions. It's stated that David has a tattoo with an unknown pattern on his right shoulder, while the unidentified has a tattoo of a figure on his left shoulder which could be mistaken as an unknown pattern. It's also stated that David has a tattoo of an unknown design on the back of his neck, and a birth mark on his right leg.

Given David's reporting with regard to the tattoos, and David's lifestyle, it seems possible that the reporter could have been mistaken with some of the finer details. Also, note that it is unknown when David's photo was taken, and that he would have been missing for 3 years, and 7 months by the time the deceased was found to explain the additional graying to his hair.

Despite the conflicting details, David's photo, and the artistic rendering of the unidentified look a lot alike.
