This is not a crime though, right? Isn't this a 'safe haven' where a mother can legally surrender a child?

The state's Safe Haven Law requires parents to drop off children at Hospitals, where medical assistance is readily available.

If tracked down, the baby's parents could be charged with endangerment, according to the D.A.'s office..."


The Baby may have been in the Church
for two days before being discovered.

I think this is a non-crime. I don't think they should identify the mother or attempt to prosecute, she left her baby where it would be safe. That's a far cry from dropping a baby in a dumpster.
