Chief Smith said the attempted homicide was domestic related and that it could be the skull of the suspect, Roger Hart, who was once featured on the TV show America's Most Wanted, allegedly tried to kill his wife. According to police, Hart's car was found about a half mile away from the pond in 2004.

AMITY TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Several K-9 teams and a dive crew returned to a pond in Amity Township over the weekend where a human skull was discovered in late April.

"Unfortunately, we weren't able to find anything else in there outside of some deer bones," says Chief Jeffrey Smith, Amity Township police dept.

I wonder if this skull could belong to Anthony Rodriguez, who went missing in 2015 for Exeter Twp, PA. In 2020 partial remains (2 femur bones) were found about a mile from where he was last seen. According to Google the distance between Exeter Twp and Amity Twp is 6.2 miles.

Anthony's NamUs profile was removed 8 days ago.

According to police, the skull that was found on a pond located near Pine Lane in Amity Township on April 30 of 2022 was determined to have belonged to Roger Hart, of Pottstown, who went missing after he was charged with attempting to kill his wife in April of 2004.

The Berks County District Attorney’s Office said Roger Hart, formerly of Pottstown, disappeared in April 2004 after allegedly attempting to kill his wife at their home.

At the time, Hart’s vehicle was found with his car keys and wallet inside. A resident reported seeing a man matching Hart’s description enter a wooded area.

According to the District Attorney’s Office, the skull was found by a boy in April 2022, in a pond near Pine Lane in Amity Township. The finding led to two searches of the pond for more skeletal remains, but none were found.

The Amity Township Police Department and county detectives began an investigation. The skull was sent to Mercyhurst University in Erie to be examined, and the results came back that the skull was male and believed to have been exposed to the elements for more than 10 years, according to the DA’s office. Pennsylvania State Police and the FBI in Quantico, Virginia, also conducted advanced DNA analysis.
