The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop A, Ebensburg, Criminal Investigation Unit, continue their investigation of the homicide of Beth Ann Bodenschatz. On January 12, 1996, at 2:30 p.m., Forest Hills Ambulance was dispatched to the victim’s home located at 1610 New Germany Road, Summerhill, Cambria County, for a medical emergency. Upon arrival, ambulance personnel discovered Beth Ann Bodenschatz deceased in her bedroom with a gunshot to her head. The only person to witness the shooter was Beth Bodenschatz’s 5yearold son. He recalled hearing his mother talking to a man, his mother yelling, and seeing the man with a gun. He related the man shot his mother. He described this man as having brown hair and wearing a brown jacket. At the time of the murder, several witnesses observed a brown/beige Subaru type car parked at the end of the victim’s driveway. A white male had been seen walking from the residence to the vehicle. The murder weapon was never found.

I’m local to this case and I have a nagging feeling that this is something that could be solved but hasn’t….
