On Tuesday, July 21, 2020, a woman's body was found in the trunk of a car by an employee of a towing company in the Cathedral Park neighborhood. The car had already been towed to the lot.

On Wednesday, July 15, 2020, a woman's body was found wrapped in cling wrap inside of a plastic tote left on a street corner in the Grays Ferry neighborhood. According to NBC10, the tote had been there for two weeks before someone tried to open it and called police.

On Friday, June 12, 2020, a woman's body was found in a suitcase on the street in the Kensington neighborhood. Police said she appeared to be a white female.

Let's also go back a few years.

On Wednesday, July 18, 2018, a man's body was found on the exit ramp of I-95 at Allegheny Ave. Police called the death at the time "suspicious," which means it was not an accidental hit-and-run accident. There must have been something about the body that stood out. I cannot find any information on the investigation of the body other than he was later identified as 48-year-old father of two John Dizio.

Also on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, a man's body was found wrapped in tarpaulin in the bedroom of a row house in the Spring Garden neighborhood.

On Tuesday, July 17, 2018, a woman's skeletal body was found in a suitcase at the entrance to Bartram's Garden in southwest Philly.

That summer of 2018 suspicions of a serial killer immediately came to mind. Police said nothing connected the deaths. Now here we have another summer series of murders involving bodies found around Philly. The suitcase/plastic tote deaths sound suspicious enough to me because they are all women found packaged for disposal. Could this be the work of a serial?

An arrest has been made in the case of the woman found in the suitcase at Kensington and Allegheny streets. The woman's identity and cause of death have not been released. Aaron Mosher is arrested in connection with the crime, but has not been charged with her murder. (He seems to have helped with disposal.)

Markeya Green, 35, has been identified as the victim found in the trunk of a car. Police have not released any details about her cause of death and they have no suspects.

No other information has been released at all about the woman found in a plastic tote container.

I also found a news source that a body was found wrapped in plastic in May 2019. I cannot find any updates about this crime that would explain cause of death or new leads in an investigation. She was simply IDed as of June 2019 and that was it.

In my opinion i don't think the cases are connected or build a pattern.

So first I really don't think that the cases from July 21 2020 and the case July 18 2018 are connected in any way or belong to any pattern. People are found dead in cars quite often and in the 2018 case the body was not even discovered in a car.

There have been a few murders where the bodies were wrapped in plastic/tarp or put into a plastic bin. I found 7 cases fitting this from 2018 to now:

April 2018 Lea Morgan, White Female, 51y
July 2018 Norman Smith, Black Male, 47y
May 2019 Robert Derer, White Male, 70y -> Arrest made
May 2019 Kioma Diehl, Black Female, 36y
January 2020 Erin Schweikert, White Female, 18y -> Arrest made
May 2020 Sabrina Dubose, Black Female, 25y -> Arrest made
July 2020 Unidentified, Black Female, age unknown

The thing is all those cases are pretty different from each other. The only ones i could imagine to really be connected are Kioma Diehl and the latest July 2020 victim. I could even go as far as to say that maybe the suitcase murder from 2018 could be connected too. But even here it boils down to 3 black women being disposed of in 3 different ways over the time span of 3 years.

But all in all I really don't think there is any secret serial killer pattern here it's just very random. I guess Philadelphia just has some problems with crime and wrapping a body or putting it in a bin or suitcase is just a very easy and convenient way to dispose of it.

Mostly just trying to raise awareness. This is either a lot of people comfortable with murder or a pattern.

Yeah I totally get it but I think reading too much into it isn't really the best thing either. Also I saw a post somewhere else that linked back to your post here and people were already in the middle of making up really crazy theories about those cases. So i thought it's probably better to just add a few things here and also it was really interesting reading through all those cases and compare them.

(Also I spent my whole night looking through google and reading the articles )

Yep! Comfortable with murdering people in cold blood and stuffing them into trunks, suitcases, wrapping them in cellophane.

The poor young lady shoved into a suitcase and left at K&A named Christina Gribbin was put there by two brainyards an AAron Mosher and a Thomas Braithwaite.

The saddest thing is the poor young lady shoved into a dang car trunk and left there after said car was towed. Been busy, but I did "hear" she was attacked by a naked man prior? Speculation or my Cog Fog , but how da*n sd is that? Obviously it isn't the two addicts from Villanova and Jersey who left a deceased woman smack on camera at K&A.

Meanwhile we have our Trans community being slaughtered left and right. It is 2020! People CARE! Your 🤬🤬* will be caught.

Sorry for rant. Was on the El today and watched all the walking skeletons getting off the El and thught of the lovely Ms. Gribbin.

Also I don't believe Markeya Green was murdered by any of these "people".

Lunatics with no moral compass just going around murdering.

A body of a brown complexion female was found in a laundry bag on the curb of my friend's street.

Between a citizens app and neighbors she "heard" what she thought was hair was cut. Which morphed into head being cutoff. That's hearsay of course. However lends to the fact of people who worried about a SK

They've been around questioning neighbors. Looking for cameras.

It's a shady neighborhood now. Once lovely. Old Victorian houses. Alot of the prostitutes there have all this while speculated on a SK. This is fairly close to K&A so who knows?

My friend is really shook up.

So many of these are being found the same way, in suitcases or bags or wrapped up. Must be a serial killer. Wonder why the police are hesitant to say that? Do they know more than they’re releasing??

Cvdixon, I just don't know. It's very frustrating, and frightening. Plus it's different parts of the city.

The Tacony neighborhood is fairly close to K&A though. They do have an arrest of two guys for the poor woman in the suitcase. I feel bad her name escapes me. I've been skeptical all along those two could have done that.

Richrd was kind enough to post this poor person in our Unidentified forum. Media reports a female yet others say unknown. Whoever left that body there knows Tacony though.

Theres a general feeling that the cases, are not related, Philadelphia is experiencing a staggeringly increasing homicide rate that has been escalating for the past decade.

The Kensington area however is no stranger to predators , due to the abundant drug activity, crime and prostitution
