In one of the few unsolved homicide cases in Cumberland County, Bruce W. Madden, 27, was last seen in the early morning hours of Nov. 30, 1979, before he was found days later in the trunk of his own vehicle. The vehicle was abandoned in the 900 block of Knepper Drive in Upper Allen Township. Witnesses said Madden left the establishment around 3 a.m., driving his 1975 Monte Carlo west toward Knepper Drive. McLaughlin said witnesses said another individual followed him out of the bar.
