Ms. Raley was last seen walking near the 300 block of Briar Valley Road in Bedford Township early Mon, May 25. (Around 8 am)

Massive search for missing woman

May 26
Firefighters from across the county and beyond, police, the Bedford County Sheriff’s Department, Coroner Rusty Styer and volunteers who know the area continued their search on Tuesday for Cathy Raley. She was last seen Monday near Bedford High School.

They gathered at command posts at the Bedford Elks and Trans Run United Methodist Church in Colerain Township.

MONDAY’S SEARCH: searched in the area of Briar Valley and Dutch Corner and eventually moved toward the borough.
Tracking dogs led them to the area of the Elks and Bedford Springs.

TUESDAY’S SEARCH: continued with tracking dogs in the area of Elk which then lead them over the mountain to Colerain Township.
Later, several search party volunteers from the Elks side were moving to again search in the Briar Valley area.
And still later, along Business 220 and Weber Lane. Search crews from that side would be searching an area of about 2 1/2 miles.

Police searching for missing Bedford County woman who has dementia

Police believe Ms. Raley is at “special risk” of harm and may be confused due to dementia.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately by calling 911 or the state police in Bedford at 814-623-6133.

I pray she is found soon, safe & unharmed.
