The video is what I find intriguing..is Dale looking into the camera to say, I need help or is it a final look before he and his accomplice pull off a robbery and disappear?

State Police Offering $5,000 Reward in 1987 Cold Case of Missing Man, Stolen Platinum

Pennsylvania State Police are offering a cash reward for information that solves the nearly 40-year-old mystery of a missing Corning Plant night watchman and a stolen platinum pipe worth over $500,000.

'Police said an unknown masked suspect entered the plant and confronted Dale Kerstetter, the night watchman. The suspect directed Kerstetter towards a room in the plant in which there was a furnace located.'

"The suspect then forced entry into the furnace, removed fire bricks, and cut out the platinum pipe, which was valued at over $500,000, according to the release.
After the suspect fled the scene, Kerstetter was discovered to be missing and has not been seen since. Police said it is unknown if Kerstetter was a victim or had any involvement in the crime.''

''Kerstetter was 52 at the time of his disappearance. He is described as a white male, 5 feet 4 inches tall, and weighing 130 pounds. He had red, shoulder-length curly hair, and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark shirt and pants.''

According to the release, he was a longtime employee of the facility and had recently been demoted to the night watchman position.''

Odd...the above article states Dale had red shoulder length curly hair. Everything else i ever read states Dale had brown and grey hair with a receding hairline. Ugh, that's not good the article gave an incorrect hair description, especially when your looking for someone.

This case is so scary to me. Does anyone else think the masked guy told him they would let him go? and then they changed their minds once they packed everything up and headed to their van..?

Such a scary and dangerous job night guarding is,

and it's situations like these why I've opted to learn how to sign 'help' in sign language

It has been suggested that Dale was in on it. A position argued in court by Corning Glasswork to stop them turning over Dale's pension to his next of kin.

*If* Dale had been in on it, he was most likely double-crossed and killed shortly after (or during, if that was Dale's body inside the heavy bag they wheeled out).

I'm not sure why people on this thread aren't very up to date but the money has finally been given to the family..

I also don't think he was in on it,

and also that John Doe 'Arrin Stoner' discovery was actually made by a poster on Reddit, not him.
