Lehigh County DA: Man killed, dismembered his housemate, discarded his body parts in different locations

According to the affidavit, a Pennsylvania State Police investigation revealed that Moser had allowed Hittinger to move into the basement of his residence. Troopers found Hittinger's blood and dismembered remains upon executing a search warrant of the basement, the affidavit said.

In 2017, Moser was convicted of driving under the influence for his role in a Washington Township crash the previous year. He was sentenced to three to 10 years in prison at the time, but released at some point before Hittinger's murder.
Moser was taken into custody on Wednesday in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, for an unrelated incident, officials said. During an interview with investigators, Moser allegedly admitted to strangling Hittinger and striking him over the head with a hammer in the basement of his home, killing him. Moser then dismembered Hittinger’s body at the home and discarded his body parts in three locations in Slatington Borough and Washington Township, according to the criminal complaint.![]()
