"DeAndre was a 12th grade student at Eastern University Academy Charter School when his life was cut short. DeAndre was sweet, caring, happy and always had a smile on his face. Everyone loved him. He loved his family and was protective of me, his mother. DeAndre was his my only child. DeAndre had a passion for music and entrepreneurship. DeAndre was accepted to Eastern University College which he would have started in August 2015. I will never see him walk down the aisle, get married or have children. They took my everything from me."On Friday, January 23, 2015, at 5:49 p.m., Philadelphia Police Officers responded to the 2000 block of North Lambert Street and discovered DeAndre Bing suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. Police transported DeAndre to Temple University Hosptial. Despite efforts by the hospital's staff, DeAndre was pronounced deceased that evening.
DeAndre Bing was 17 years old. He resided on the 1500 block of Mount Pleasant Avenue. Anyone with information regarding DeAndre's tragic death is urged to contact the Philadelphia Police Department at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
