This cold case has been unsolved for 30 years. This involves my spouse's family.

Dominic was a cab driver at the time and worked for Reading Metro Taxi. His cab was found burned near Skyline Drive. His body was found near the Kernsville Dam. He was stabbed around 39 times.

I have been looking into it myself, but the leads are too few. The family at least deserves to know what happened.

The killer had to be a strong man and likely attacked the victim from behind so that he would have been at a disadvantage in the struggle. I cannot imagine how strong a person would have to be to stab a grown man 39 times, drag his body out of a car, and throw it into the dam. If a single person was involved, he was clearly a big guy with a great deal of anger. There is a possibility the crime was racially motivated. I assume the crime scene was the cab since another site with blood or signs of a car losing control was never found. It is remarkable that there were no traces of blood found near the dam, but I do not know what the weather was like at the time. Due to the fact that the cab was burned, either the killer had prepared a ride in advance with an accomplice or was a local and could walk home, to a nearby transport station, or to a telephone nearby to call for help. The killer was clearly intelligent or knew somebody that was or had a history with a police force and knew that throwing the body into the dam and burning the cab would help destroy evidence. I hope the crime is solved so that the family can finally have some closure.

The area where the car was found, and where the body was discovered is 20 plus miles. You are likely correct, a second person with a vehicle was more than likely involved.
Lack of Blood at the Dam is not unusual, since the Nick would have been transported that distance more than likely in the truck. (I don't know any Taxi that would take a fare to Kernsville Damn in the middle of the night so I am assuming the primary crime scene is on Skyline Dr.)
I was led to believe that the DNA was found near the burnt taxi.

Edit.
There was a Dark-skinned male seen walking on List Rd. Reading, List Rd. is just below Skyline Dr.
So the primary crime scene was most likely in the cab, driven in the cab to Kernsville Dam, the body was more than likely dumped, Cab was driven to Skyline, lit ablaze to cover blood evidence, and the Murder walked back into the city.
