Found Safe PA - Enci “Aubrey” Wu, 14, last seen leaving her house in Allentown on 10 January 2025

If you watch the video I took the pic from, it looks like a pullover sweatshirt. Has a word in the same spot. Not sure where the hood is coming from either; I also wondered. Thin hoodie under it? *shrugs*

Also has her without the hood or hat in a second photo and similar hair.

PA - PA, Enci “Aubrey” Wu, 14, last seen leaving her house in Allentown on 10 January 2025

Looks to me like a vest with a hood worn over the sweatshirt. Something like this.

“We need answers now,” shared Jade Wu, “We can’t wait any longer. We need your voice. We need your support.” Wu further asked, “Where is the justice?” In between sobbing, Wu choked up, saying, “I don’t even know if she is alive, but I need answers.”

From the article...I believe this is new information.

Easton Police arrested Zaire Gibson, 22, a tier 1 registered sex offender, on March 12, 2025. Records show that Gibson is currently in custody in Lehigh County Jail.

Gibson was convicted on Jan. 24, 2024, for the sexual abuse of children and possession of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. Gibson allegedly conversed with Aubrey via social media and sent indecent photos of himself prior to her disappearance, according to the self-proclaimed child protection organization Child Safety Soldiers.

It is clear she chose to leave. What if she is found, and she is not being trafficked, but is determined not to return home? Can you even force a rebellious teenager to stay home? Would she be placed under some kind of arrest and held in juvenile detention? Her parents obviously care deeply for her, but I am so curious as to what would happen if she was found.

I hope they lock this guy up and throw away the key. How horrible, a predator seeking out young victims like this. He will never change. (Yes, I know it is happening every day all over the world. And it makes the victims even more vulnerable to harm, as deep down they know they are being victimized and don't know what to do about it.).
She is a 14-year-old child. May she be safe and located by LE very soon.

Is anyone else reading conflicting "last seen" reports? I'm seeing two different reports from police...One says she was seen on Macarthur Road at WaWa (confirmed on video) and another says she was last seen in area of Parkland High School 2 miles west of Macarthur. I'm from the Lehigh Valley area and just trying to get a sence of her last known whereabouts. If you google map the area thats about a hour and half walk from the Wawa on Macarthur to Parkland High. Wondering if there have been searches in the area, there are tons of empty fields and such that I see on GM

Hm, I'm sorry, but if Aubrey was my kid and I suspected someone of being directly involved in her disappearance. I'd want answers too.

By all accounts Aubrey's home environment seems strained, almost corporal.

Was Aubrey living with the step?
Are the people the step-dad is allegedly harassing connected to the boy that urged his mother to call the police to do a welfare check at Aubrey's home?

I hope this young lady is in a safe place, maybe she's hiding.
This goes above and beyond wanting answers. In fact this would hurt his chances of getting any.

"You are going to be hunted by us, and we are going to come after you."

It might sound cool coming from Liam Neeson, but it's not a good look for the (step) father of a missing kid.

Could be wrong but I think he's already out. It appears to have been a parole violation that doesn't have anything to do with Audrey.

Supposedly he admitted to conversing with Audrey online, but I'm not sure if it's true (I'm having doubts about anything the stepfather says). Has this been confirmed? He could be a convenient target. (Do I feel sympathy for the guy? Well, no.)

<modsnip: Referenced post was removed> Someone doth protest too much (literally). Feels like an obvious distraction technique. I get the sense that Aubrey wasn’t safe at home that night. Her friend knew it, hence the welfare check. But she decided to make the call to run. Wherever she is, I hope it’s happy and safe. I hope she eventually can surface and get herself back to school and something like a normal life even if not at home. MOO

I'm not sure how easy it would be for a child to start a new life somewhere... Assuming she knew where she was going and who she would be staying with from the start... Without being detected. Bare minimum, I would think that LE would be alerted that it's ok to close the case. But what do I know.

One thing that's pretty messed up... When the DA said that it they have no evidence that it's a criminal matter, which includes TRAFFICKING, wouldn't that have given a concerned parent some relief??? Instead, the stepfather flips out at the very notion. If she's being trafficked, god knows where she is. She could be in Bangkok for all they know. They might never hear from her again.

On a lighter note... My primary hobby is genealogy, true crime is more of an interest that I've been drawn to more lately... If I have a DNA match that I'm thinking of contacting, I'll usually Google their name to make sure they're not crazy. One of my DNA matches reminds me of this case. The Google search turned up articles where she was pleading for the safe return of her missing son, but she also amassed a following on social media and would get into TikTok arguments, even with an advocate who was actually trying to help find her son. One day, her son put out a video on social media, basically saying, "I'm not missing, I'm ok, I just had to get away from this crazy *****." Apparently, after a while she gave up on trying to get him to come back home, and started an Onlyfans. Needless to say, I did not contact this woman.

I get the impression Aubrey just wants to be away from her mother and stepfather. They are not helping themselves one bit, this is not the type of behaviour that would make a runaway teen think "oh, I'm going back home, it's going to be okay".

I am sure that such an announcement would give a parent "some" relief.

The amount of relief, however, could be pretty relative given that the run away is female, was seen asking strangers for money and transportation, and had contact with a sex offender posing as a "Child Safety Soldier".

Objectively, I could accept that she had not been trafficked when she left. Subjectively, given the totality, I would be pretty worried about future trafficking.

There might be quite a few "child safety soldiers" type people inclined to walk up to a 14 year old runaway asking for rides and offer not only a ride, but other "assitance".

I didn't go back through the thread before posting this so please forgive me- where is Enci's bio dad? Is he known? If so, where does he reside and could he or some of his family members be helping her?

Oh yeah, emphasis on "some". The circumstances are dire enough. But I don't see how that's discouraging news that I would refuse to believe.

Was it confirmed that she had contact with the sex offender? What was the nature of it? If anything, it doesn't seem like she's been with him since the start of the investigation.

In Fenstermacher's statement, she said that while she cannot comment on specific details of the case, she did say that she did not know Aubrey prior to their encounter, nor has she had any contact with her after.

The legal team for Mr. Gehrmann and Ms. Wu released their own statement in response to Fenstermacher's statement. It says in part:

"Noticeably absent from the statement is any explanation as to why Ms. Fenstermacher transported our clients' minor child across state lines to a dog show in New Jersey. Similarly absent from the statement is any explanation of what Aubrey told Ms. Fenstermacher, where and when Ms. Fenstermacher last saw and interacted with Aubrey, and whether Ms. Fenstermacher knows where Aubrey is or may be."

These statements above to me make it sound like she was hitchhiking. She seemingly did a (reasonably sensible?) thing of finding a woman who was alone and I suppose had cute dogs with her and she got a lift. I mean it’s a bit weird, but maybe a safer way to get about than some of the alternatives. Going at her with fangs showing like they are isn’t going to win them any favours unfortunately. JMO
