Philadelphia police were asking for help in locating Fred Anton, an 83-year-old Center City man with undisclosed medical issues who also is known as a Republican power broker in Pennsylvania politics. Anton was last seen about 10:45 a.m. Wednesday leaving his residence in the unit block of North Christopher Columbus Boulevard.
Anton, who is still listed as chairman on the website for the Pennsylvania Manufacturers’ Association, is 6-feet 2-inches tall, 208 pounds, with blue eyes and bald. He has a cast on his left arm and was carrying a Whole Foods bag containing his medical equipment. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue sweat pants that has a hole in the leg, and brown shoes.
