Missing Person Investigation:

The Shaler Township Police are currently investigating a missing person case.

71-year-old, FREDERICK CHECK last seen on Friday August 17, 2018 at approximately 1430 hrs. at his residence on Fall Run Rd Glenshaw, PA 15116 (Shaler Township).

His vehicle is a 2004 Hyundai Accent PA Registration # JJS-0427.

He suffers from Depression and other unspecified medical conditions.

His family has been unable to reach him via cell phone. He also has family in Valencia and Freeport, PA and has been known to travel through Kittanning PA.

Shaler police continue to search for a man missing since mid-August.

Missing Shaler man found dead in Armstrong County

So so sad...

A Shaler man missing since mid-August was found dead in Armstrong County over the weekend.

Frederick Check, 71, was found in the woods off of Craig Road in Madison around 6:30 p.m. Sunday., said Armstrong County Coroner Brian Myers.

A cause of death won’t be released until toxicology results are in, but officials said no foul play is suspected.
