When I read about abductions or attempted abductions, it is very common to see people point fingers at the parents. I think this must be humane nature to do so.
I don't really care to get into the what would I have done as a parent as far as supervision goes.
The reason why is because it takes away placing the blame from where it needs to be placed and that is with the perp.
Also, these perps are so brazen that they will grab a child from their own yard or the school, or even out of the home. They will find a way and it only takes a few seconds. A parent can't keep their eyes on a child 24/7.
I am interested in knowing what the maximum prison time is for this crime. People that commit these crimes will re-offend again. IMO, it wasn't his first offense and something should have been done prior to this. This is the sad part about it. Our laws are not tough enough and so many do not report. We have to do more to keep people like this off the streets.
