Shooting victim describes husband's sacrifice during Mifflin Street murder trial

A Lebanon County jury convicted Scott Kirchner of first-degree murder Thursday for breaking into a Lebanon home and killing an innocent man who was sleeping in his bedroom.

The jury deliberated for several hours Thursday before reaching a verdict.

Kirchner's sentencing is preliminarily scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Oct. 17 in front of Court of Common Pleas Judge Samuel A. Kline.
