Police say they are investigating the disappearance of a Manchester man who walked away from his home on Monday,

"He did leave a note for his wife that he was going for a walk, and it said good-bye," said Northeastern Regional Police Chief. "She noticed his .22 handgun was missing. We're unsure of what his intentions are and are concerned by that."

Palmer left his phone at home and did not take his vehicle.

Police conducted an extensive search for Palmer earlier this week, using a search dog on Monday and a helicopter on Tuesday. They did not find Palmer, and there have been no sightings of him since Monday.
