This death is clearly related to an escalation of domestic abuse. How is this person not in jail?!

During her stabilization, troopers said they saw multiple injuries on her including cuts across her toes, severe bruising on the majority of her body and a bruised and swollen eye socket.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, some of the bruises appeared to be in various healing stages.

Council president and the victim’s boyfriend and owner of the home she was staying in, Thomas Suddeth, 62, was contacted by police. Court documents show that he told police that he called emergency services when he witnessed bruising on Natale as she was having a seizure.

The affidavit also shows that Suddeth told police that Natale had bad vision, which caused her to “always run into things.”

But weeks before her death, several of Natale’s family members had becoem suspicious of Suddeth. Natale’s sister told investigators that there was something she “just didn’t like” about Suddeth, and he refused to relay messages to her sister when Natale’s phone was broken.

Natale’s son echoed these suspicions by recounting an instance to police where he said his mother sent him a desperate text message reading “help” on May 6.

Natale’s son said the last message he received from his mother was on May 27 at 10:30 p.m. that read “if you can, please come get me.”

The following day, paramedics found her beaten black & blue.
