I'm a native of Gettysburg. There is no shortage of those who have a rather lively interest in the paranormal..... museums, tours, facebook pages, sightings, etc. etc. It's not surprising this doll came here, in a carnival like atmosphere, amongst the hallowed ground of true valor, death, and destruction. Bad things happened at Gettysburg back in 1863.

Folks post photo after photo online, ad nauseum, claiming this confederate, or union soldier, or horse, or little girl, or ghost, or you name it is in the grainy picture.

I've walked the battlefield for years and years, lived within bicycle distance as a child, know lots of history, have a huge collection of CW artifacts.

Let me tell you about the 'headless rider'. Or the big oak tree at Solomon's graveyard.

Nah, never mind.

Not a believer here.... but that being said I'm not sure I'd want "Annabelle" in my house, so .....
A caveat.

Rest in peace to this tour guide, Dan. 😢
I'm assuming there were underlying health issues ?
Omo.

  • The doll was made famous by "The Conjuring" movie series that was based on the work of Ed and Lorraine Warren.
  • Comedian Matt Rife and his friend purchased the home, museum and entire artifact collection of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren
  • This includes the Annabelle doll, which Rife is now the "legal guardian" and "caretaker" of, he said
  • Rife plans to reopen the museum, which has been closed since 2019, for tours, and the home for overnight stays

(From the People article)
It is also confirmed that Annabelle was not present in the room at the time of his passing,” Dutrow said.
Well yeah, she's not stupid, she's got years of experience!! 😁 She's not sticking around any crime scene.
